Foot Detox
The latest trend in the health industry is the process of getting a ‘detox procedure’. A lot of people are going to therapy centers and subjecting themselves to such procedures to make sure that they are able to purify their body and get rid of the ‘toxins’ that have accumulated in the body.
Most of us have heard a lot about the various ‘detox procedures’ available. There are full ‘body detox’ procedures along with partial ‘body detox’ procedures. However, there is one method that many of us are not familiar with. Foot detox therapy is one such method which is extremely helpful in making sure that you are able to maintain a harmony between the different elements in your body.
Our body is subject to a lot of wear and tear during the lifetime, in the form of fatty foods, stress at the work place etc. The intake of oily foods and cholesterol laden snacks clogs up the pores of the skin and the arteries. It is very essential to flush out such things from the body to make sure that you live a healthy life. Foot detox procedure comes in handy in an easy and effort less removal of such ‘toxins’ from the body. Such procedures are affected in the form of ‘patches’ which are attached or affixed to the base of the foot during the night and removed during the day.
The use of such ‘trans-dermal patches’ or cleansing tools in foot detox therapies ensure a hassle free treatment of the individual. A lot of manufacturers produce such patches which have gained widespread popularity in the health arena.
There are certain things that have to be kept in mind though. Before resorting to the use of such ‘patches’ on your feet, make sure they are clean. Wash your feet with soap water and scrub them to open the pores which might have got clogged due to dirt and dust. Further, abstain from applying any lotion or cream prior to the application of foot detox ‘patches’. This will form an impenetrable barrier between the ‘patch’ and the skin of the foot and hamper with the process of cleansing.
A disadvantage of the method is that the sweat coming out from the feet saturates the ‘patch’, preventing the further accumulation of toxins in it. The person has to change the ‘patch’ all over again to make sure the therapy is not affected.
